Picture, er, Pictures of the week - LX850 Style! Of course being a German Equatorial Mount, it is very easy to swap out the optical tube assembly. You have seen images from the 14” ACF, and the 80mm and 130 Meade APOs. Next up, images from the Coronado 90mm SolarMax II, a telescope made to look at only one star - our Sun! This telescope has actually bounced between my LX850 and LXD75 mounts, but I wanted to share these images. I am learning how to image the Sun so these are a bit crude, but fun! The first image shows the Solar Prominences flying off the Sun. The second is a close up of some Sun spots. Stay tuned for more on my solar series!
